And Jesus knew their thoughts and said unto them, every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand (Matthew 12:25).

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment (I Corinthians 1:10).

Doctrinal Statement of Beliefs

As a local church within the universal Body of Christ, Freedom Fellowship Christian Church and its members hold to the following biblical doctrinal beliefs and truths:

The Godhead (Trinity)
There is one God existing eternally, expressed in three persons:  Father, Son (The Word), and Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7).

The Father: is the first person of the Godhead.  He is the creator of all things (Genesis 1:1); He knows everything (Psalm 33:13-1); He is present everywhere (Jeremiah 23:23, 24); He is just (Genesis 18:25); He is loving (1 John 4:8, 16); He is full of Grace (Ephesians 2:4, 5); He can be sufficiently known only through His anointed, Jesus the Christ (John 14:6).

Jesus (God the Son) is the second person of the Godhead.  He is fully human and fully divine (Philippians 2:5-8), existing eternally, fully equal with the Father (John 1:1,2); He was begotten by the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary (Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:26-35); He has proven himself to be the Son of God by His deeds, fulfillment of the prophecy, crucifixion, and bodily resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; 1 Timothy 3:16); He is now in Heaven exalted at the right hand of the Father where as High Priest He makes intercession for the church (Romans 8:34, Hebrews 7:24, 25); He is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5); He is the Head (Lord) of the church (Ephesians 5:29; He will return bodily to the earth and reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelation 19:11 – 20:7).

The Holy Spirit (God the Spirit) is the third person of the Godhead.  He is a divine person existing eternally with the Father (John 15:6); He convicts of sin, righteousness and the judgment to come (John 16:8-11); He regenerates (quickens) the human spirit in the work of salvation (Titus 3:5); He indwells each believer (Romans 8:15, 16; 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20); He baptizes the believer into the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13); He fills them for dedicated service (Acts 2:1-4; Ephesians 3:17-19); He equips and anoints every believer with spiritual gifts for ministry (1 Corinthians 12:7-11); He aids the Christian life by making intercession for them (John 14:16-18; Romans 8:26, 27)
 
The Bible
The Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God, both Old and New Testament (Matthew 5:18; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17).  They contain a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of man and constitute the divine and only rule of faith and practice (Psalms 199:97-105, 127-130).

Salvation
Salvation is the gift of God made available by the shed blood of Christ and given to those who believe in Jesus as God’s son and our great Savior (John 3:16); those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9, 10); and those who receive and accept this gift by faith (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8, 9).  The evidence of one who has truly received the precious gift of salvation is a transformed life (2 Corinthians 5:17).

The Church (Ecclesia)
We believe that Christ is the Head of His church, and every believer a part of His body (Ephesians 4:15, 16).  We do not believe that we are the only Christians, but we do earnestly strive to be Christian only.  We endeavor to speak where the Bible speaks and to remain silent where the Bible is silent.  We affirm the Bible and the Bible alone as our only rule of faith and practice.

Communion and Baptism
The Lord’s Supper (Communion) was instituted by the Lord and delivered to the Apostles (Matthew 26:26-29) and is to be observed in remembrance of Him (1 Corinthians 11:24, 25), water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life (Romans 6:3-5, Colossians 2:12, 13).

The Christian Life
The Christian Life by its very nature is to be distinct from the world (Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 6:17, 18; Ephesians 4:22-24; James 4:4).  Because of this, each believer is set apart (Sanctified) by God for His purposes (2 Timothy 2:19-21).  This process is carried out through prayer, the Word, witnessing and fellowship (1 Timothy 4:5, John 17:17; Acts 26:18).  Each believer has been given a spiritual gift or gifts (Romans 12:4-8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Ephesians 4:7, 8) to be used in serving others (Ephesians 4:11, 23).

The Second Coming
The coming of Christ for His church will occur at the pre-appointed time of His Father (Matthew 24:29-31, 36; Mark 13:24-27, 32-33) but we can be certain that it will occur (2 Peter 3:3-10).  The Scripture teaches that Jesus will descend from Heaven (Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16A); that all Christians, dead and alive, will be raised to eternal life (1 Corinthians 15:50-53; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18); and all non-believers will be judged and condemned to eternal punishment in hell (Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 20:1-15).
